Commentary On “U.S. Weekend Holiday Sales Raise Hopes”

Unless backed-up by more buying, this Black Friday sales tax calculator volume is misleading and may just be a flash in the pan. I shopped several stores and my take was that the door buster specials brought in large to huge crowds depending on the specials and the store. After the initial surge, the stores were filled mostly with overtired sales clerks with little follow-up sales volume. Sales will be high, but profits will be small. Stores are basically exchanging inventory for cash! Shoppers with little to spend were motivated to come out and get the most bang for their buck.

The market is due for a bear market rally, which can be quite aggressive.
